Error Guide

I hope you will find this guide useful. If you discover an error which isn't mentioned in this thread, then please comment which includes the missing error.

Error code: -2005532292 (unknown error 0x8876017C)
1. Disable your firewall.
2. Restart LuminaryStory.exe
3. If step 1 fails then uninstall your firewall program.
4. Restart your computer/laptop, and then launch LuminaryStory.exe
5. If you are then able to play successfully then install a different firewall program.

Error code : -2147287038 (Unknown error 0x800300002)
1. Download a clean Npc.wz file, by clicking here
2. Extract and replace the Npc.wz into your LuminaryStory folder .

Error code: -2147467259
1) Your drivers are out-of-date. Follow this Microsoft's guide to update your drivers.

Error code: 10093
For Windows XP
Press Start, click on Run and type in 'cmd' (without the quotations ' ' ) then press OK.

For Windows Vista/7
1. Right click on 'cmd' and select 'Run as Administrator'
2. Type in 'netsh winsock reset' (without the quotations ' '), then simply press Enter.
3. After that restart your computer/laptop.

Error code: -2147024883 (The data is invalid.)
1. Uninstall and then install MapleStory again.

Error code: 38
1. Restart LuminaryStory.exe

Disconnecting after PIC code:
Disable your Microsoft Loopback Adapter

For Windows Vista and 7:
1. Press Start.
2. Right click on "My Computer"
3. Click on the "Hardware" tab.
3. On the left side, click on "Device Manager".
4. Press the + sign beside "Network Adapters" to expand it.
5. Right click "Microsoft Loop Adapters" and uninstall it. Press OK in the confirmation box.

For Windows XP:
1) Press Start.
2) Right click on "My Computer" and click on Properties.
3) Click on the "Hardware" tab followed by "Device Manager".
4) Press the + sign beside "Network Adapters" to expand it.
5) Right click "Microsoft Loop Adapters" and uninstall it. Press OK in the confirmation box.

Compatibility Fix
1. Right click LuminaryStory.exe
2. Click on Properties
3. Click on the Compatibility tab.
4. Tick the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
5. Then a menu will be enabled. Choose "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)"
6. Down the Settings menu there is a option which says "Run this program as an Administrator" , Tick it.
